The Good, the Bad, and …The Voice

More room to improve
1. No battery or charging indicator
2. Battery drains pretty fast
3. Took forever to find satellite signal in Seattle, much slower than Garmin Nuvi

A Product NO ONE should have Received from ANYONE
Magellan 1440 GPS Roadside………Nothing functioned …..Power cable was defective and replaced. Then, the main GPS Unit did not function. It to, was replaced.

OUT-OF-THE-BOX JOKE!!!
I was sooo hyped up about getting a new GPS since my old one was destroyed by someone i lent it to. (which reminds me, NEVER LEND YOUR GPS TO ANYONE!

Great at what it needs to do…
I just used this unit for a round-trip from Long Island NY to Falls church VA and return this past weekend.
In sum, this is a very nice little GPS.

Do not Buy.
Unit would display same error message after entering location. Sent to magellan. Can back with same problem. Even worse. I purchase a Gamin 255W & love it.

Good choice for frequent auto trips
Switched from Tom Tom one versions 3 to Magellan 1440. Very pleased with voice commands for turn, clearly & correctly identifies streets and highway exit signs.
